I grew up hearing the gospel from an early age. At nine years old I was convicted of my sin and believed in Jesus’ death and resurrection for the payment of my sins and His promise of eternal life. As I got older, I struggled to make sense of sanctification. I felt my efforts were constantly failing to think and do right.

Soon after high school, I married my husband, John, and we began a family. He was called into full-time ministry, and we began serving the Lord together. Finally, when I was about 30 yrs. old and a mother of five, the Lord broke through my constant efforts and failings with the truth of His Word that I was not only forgiven but also freed from sin having been given His righteousness and the Holy Spirit within me. My focus shifted from my own efforts to His accomplished work and grace! I felt freedom and grace to be able to live for Him!

John served as senior pastor for over 20 years until the Lord took him home in December 2022. Throughout the next year, I clung to the promises and character of God and He faithfully revealed His constant, unchanging love and care for me and my children in ways that would take a book to recount. The Lord’s kindness never ends and in March 2024, I married my husband, Brad and gained another son. I recognize and give thanks for God’s gracious providence in my life!

I love to FaceTime my granddaughters or to sit and read a good book. I also enjoy being outdoors whenever I can! You may even drive by me somewhere in town as I also love to run.
