Erin Blacksher
I was raised in a church, but didn’t hear the good news until much later. After a prodigal season during my 20s, my 30s proved to be a time of testing and then growth in my faith. After being married for eight years, my husband, Brandon, and I decided to move back home to Nacogdoches to be closer to family. Soon after the move, we began attending FCC and the pastor at the time began to disciple us, pointing us to the truth of Jesus and His work on the cross. We both made the decision to be baptized and joined the FCC family.
We began volunteering with the children’s ministry before I took on a part-time role as Tara‘s assistant in the Children’s Ministry. More recently, I have also been able to serve on the administration side, adding duties including accounting and the front office.
When not working at FCC, I stay busy helping Brandon with his cattle and cheering on our sons, Ben and Gus, in their many activities (tennis, band, school clubs, and academic endeavors). I also enjoy traveling, gardening, and reading.
